Arrival of the round yellow morels

It is the only spot of round yellow morels or Morchella esculenta var. rotunda that I know.

I had spotted last year and I was wondering if this station was perennial or pioneer.

It will take several years to determine, but this April 19, 2012, the first decided to show the tip of his cap.

It grows in the grass a few meters of trees that I will identify with certainty when the leaves are emerged.

What is interesting is that they grow in dandelions, which are known to contain sweet compounds. Impossible at this time whether there is any symbiotic relationship, but the hypothesis should be studied.

This morel whose cap has a diameter of about 7 or 8 cm but we still doesn't see the stipe, was left on site and will be studied further, hoping that no collector shall come before to pick it...
